On a full day field trip each spring, one of the student's favorite stops is the Tulsa Botanic Garden northwest of Tulsa.  The garden has a series of fantastic formal gardens, a children's garden, and a large pond.  In addition, it is located in a high quality example of the Crosstimbers ecosystem and students take a one mile hike through the mosaic of prairie and forest on the gardens nature trail.  Lori Hutson, director of communications and outreach for the garden speaks with the students to explain the role of botanic gardens and job opportunities.
