Lisa Merrell ("The Tomato Man’s Daughter") spent a full day with the botany class discussing various aspects of heirloom vegetables and operating a small nursery.  All students were able to get experience collecting seeds from fruit and properly saving them so as to be able to plant the seeds in the spring.
