The botany classes collaborated with Kimberly Smart (Ceramics and Sculpture Instructor at Union High School) and her sculpture classes.  Over two days students from both classes combined in small groups to design and build hypertufa pots to be used to sell plants in during the annual Botany plant sale.  Hypertufa pots are made using a mix of portland cement, peat moss, and perlite/vermiculite.
