Included in the fall 2020 expansion was the addition of eight new 4' x 8' cedar raised bed gardens available to Union Staff.  Two of those beds will be used by the Special Education department who bus students to the gardens each Wednesday afternoon.  Four of the new cedar beds are for teachers at Union High School who would like to integrate a garden into their curriculum, or who want to have a garden but do not have access to one in their living situation.  Students installed an automated irrigation system and botany students will provide plants propagated in the greenhouse and help with maintenance.
